| Chunking will help you absorb new
words |

Chunking is a method used to increase the capacity of your short-term memory.
Chunking will allow you to remember a large amount of information in a short
period of time. The word “chunking” was coined in a book by George A. Miller,
who was a famous psychology professor at Princeton, MIT and Harvard University.
Here is how it works. Try to remember the numbers 9, 3, 8, 2, 5, 4. By
remembering these numbers individually, your short-term memory will be filled
to capacity and you are likely to forget them quickly. If you compile the
numbers into two chunks, the first being 938 and the second being 254, they are
much easier to remember and you will still have room left over in your
short-term memory. Chunking will allow you to learn Thai at a greatly enhanced
